The questions we hear most. If yours isn't here, write to us — we'd rather answer it directly than have you guess.
Written for owners and executives doing diligence on a small accounting firm.
We use flat-rate pricing — never surprise hourly bills. Monthly bookkeeping typically begins at a few hundred dollars per month, scaling with transaction volume and complexity. Tax preparation and advisory work are quoted per engagement. You receive a written proposal with exact pricing after the discovery call.
Only if you want to. Many clients first engage us for a specific project — a return, a cleanup, or a CFO conversation — and decide later about ongoing work. If you do switch, we handle the transition directly with your prior provider so you don't have to.
QuickBooks Online is our primary bookkeeping platform. For tax we use professional-grade preparation software, secure client portals for document exchange, and digital signature tools. If you're on a different platform, we can usually work with it or recommend a path forward.
Yes. You get a dedicated partner who knows your business and stays consistent over time. We're a small firm by design — that continuity is one of the main reasons clients choose us.
Yes. Our roster includes operating companies with multi-entity consolidations, GAAP-aligned reporting, and investor-facing financial packages. The scope expands; the standards do not.
Cleanup is one of the things we do most. We'll give you a realistic estimate of what's involved, do the cleanup, and keep you current going forward. No judgment about the starting point.
Both. We prepare individual returns and provide planning for individuals and families — particularly those with self-employment income, investments, equity compensation, or rental property. Many of our business clients have us handle their personal returns for continuity.
Yes, with some seasonality. Bookkeeping and advisory engagements can start at any time. New tax-only clients are easiest to onboard outside the January–April crunch, though we make exceptions when capacity allows. The discovery call is the best way to confirm timing.
An encrypted client portal for all document exchange — no email attachments for sensitive items. You'll get a login during onboarding. For e-signatures we use digital signing tools that meet IRS and audit standards.
We operate as a primarily remote practice, which lets us serve clients across the country. Most of our work happens by video call, secure portal, and email. In-person meetings are available when helpful.
We answer questions in plain language and within one business day.
